Senior People Operations Coordinator

TLDR

Support People Operations processes like onboarding and documentation management, enhance employee experience, and reduce administrative friction across the business.

Responsibilities:

Employee Lifecycle & People Operations

  • Support core People Operations processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and documentation management

  • Coordinate onboarding logistics, maintain onboarding resources, and ensure a smooth new hire experience

  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation across HR systems, ensuring consistency, privacy, and compliance

  • Benefits & Employee Support

  • Assist with benefits administration including enrollments, life events, and open enrollment coordination

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to benefits and People Ops processes

  • Support leave tracking, benefits troubleshooting, and escalate issues as needed

  • HR Systems, Data & Documentation

  • Maintain and support HR systems (e.g., Rippling) including data updates, reporting, and basic administration

  • Assist with audits, reporting, and documentation management to support operational consistency

  • Organize and maintain internal knowledge bases, guides, and People documentation

  • Recruiting & Onboarding Coordination

  • Support recruiting coordination including interview scheduling and candidate logistics

  • Maintain candidate data within the ATS and assist during active hiring periods

  • Partner with hiring managers and the People team to ensure seamless onboarding transitions

  • Employee Experience & Office Operations

  • Support employee engagement initiatives and coordinate internal events (e.g., All Hands, team gatherings)

  • Manage office operations including supplies, vendors, mail, and workspace coordination

  • Maintain a welcoming, functional office environment and liaise with building management

  • Administrative & Operational Support

  • Provide light administrative support to leadership including scheduling, travel, and expense coordination

  • Assist with cross-functional operational tasks and ad hoc projects that reduce administrative burden

  • Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with an average of 2-3 days per week at our HQ in Durham, NC. 

  • Familiarity with People Operations processes and basic HR best practices

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion

  • Experience working with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience maintaining or updating records within systems or databases

  • Comfort working with spreadsheets and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and strong judgment

  • Strong follow-through and comfort managing shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment

  • Experience supporting administrative, office, People Ops, or coordination-heavy workflows

  • Comfort working across a mix of employee-facing support, systems administration, and operational logistics

  • Additional Skills We Value:
