Our partner, a well-established group of companies in the Energy sector in Athens, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to lead a team of payroll and SCAN HRMS specialists.

This senior role combines operational excellence and tactical oversight, ensuring both accuracy and efficiency across all workforce management processes.

Mission:

Lead the end-to-end payroll and HRMS operations for major parts of the organization, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while overseeing SCAN HRMS systems. Act as a strategic partner to HRBPs and Finance, providing insights, reporting, and continuous improvement of payroll, attendance, and workforce management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Leadership: Full ownership of payroll processing, including salaries, benefits, deductions, statutory contributions, bonuses, and adjustments, ensuring compliance with Greek labour law.
  • HRMS Governance: Serve as the senior owner of SCAN HRMS / Time & Attendance systems, overseeing workflows, validation, integrations with payroll, and system optimization.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor HRMS specialists, providing guidance, escalation resolution, and process standardization.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Generate accurate reports, dashboards, and management insights for HR, Finance, and leadership.
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to all legal, tax, and social security requirements, supporting audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps, implement best practices, automate routine tasks, and continuously enhance HRMS and payroll operations.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and department managers to align HRMS functionality with business needs.

Requirements

Must Have

  • Proven trackrecord in payroll management and HRMS administration in large scale, shift working organisations.
  • Advanced knowledge of SCAN HRMS (or equivalent timer systems) and payroll systems.
  • Strong command of Greek labour law, payroll compliance, social security, and benefits administration.
  • Degree in Maths, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or HR-related fields.
  • Strong Excel / reporting / HR analytics skills;

Nice to Have

  • SCAN HRMS Experience
  • ERP or payroll software experience preferred.
  • Experience in running an industrial organisation is prefered.
  • Project and People Management Experience.
