Spreetail is seeking a Senior Payables Analyst to join our Accounting team, where you will play a key role in strengthening financial operations and scaling processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally to design and improve accounting processes, support month-end close activities, and ensure accurate, timely analysis of financial results. You’ll leverage strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and a continuous improvement mindset to enhance internal controls, optimize cash workflows in partnership with Treasury, and deliver reporting and insights that drive informed decision-making across the business.
How you will achieve success:
Lead cross-functional process design and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen internal controls and scale with business complexity.
Own month-end close activities, including financial statement variance analysis, while identifying and executing process efficiencies.
Monitor credits and funds owed to Spreetail, partnering with Treasury on cash optimization and weekly payment processing.
Design and deliver reporting, metrics, and insights that drive issue resolution and improve financial outcomes.
Drive cross-functional issue resolution through clear communication, strong stakeholder partnerships, and a bottom-line mindset.
What experiences will help you in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; industry certifications and/or graduate degree preferred.
3–5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related business function with working knowledge of GAAP.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (used extensively), with experience leveraging analytics tools; SQL a plus.
Strong problem-solving and process-improvement mindset, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Excellent organizational and stakeholder-management skills, able to prioritize competing initiatives and manage multiple projects.
