Senior Security Engineer

Location Details: India, Remote

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

As a Senior Security Engineer on the Network Security team at GoDaddy, you will play a meaningful role in safeguarding our network infrastructure and sensitive data. The team consists of highly skilled and, motivated engineers with positive outlooks, and we are looking to add another highly motivated individual to help build our next-generation security tooling and policy frameworks.

What you’ll get to do... 

System Administration & Automation

• Deploy, manage, and maintain network infrastructure devices, optimising security, performance, and reliability
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline administrative tasks, such as provisioning, configuration management, and patching with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
• Implement security as code practices, ensuring security is a fundamental part of the development process

Threat Modeling

• Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify security risks and vulnerabilities in network architecture and systems
• Formulate threat modeling insights into actionable security improvements and recommendations

Network Security Integrations

• Lead efforts to integrate security solutions including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, Splunk, SIEM tools, and threat intelligence feeds
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data sharing for real-time threat detection and response
• Partner with network engineers, system administrators, security analysts, development teams, and cloud architects to align security objectives
• Communicate technical findings and security recommendations to stakeholders effectively

 Your experience should include.. 

• 7+ years of experience in the Security engineering domain, building and operating large-scale & mission-critical networks
• Proficient with scripting languages such as Go or Python with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in this area
• Experience in several Security domains (Network Security, Vulnerability Management, Risk Management, etc.), system administration (primarily Linux), integration automation, and development
• Familiarity with public and private cloud environments like AWS, OpenStack, and others is a plus
• Well-versed with ITIL, change management, and Agile processes. Experience in Jira & Confluence

You might also have...

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, network security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker) are a plus
• Must be self-motivated and have a desire to learn, grow, and deliver quality contributions
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal direction
