What We’re Looking For 

As a Senior Network Security Engineer you will be responsible for supporting, managing and designing the network/firewall infrastructure. This includes network/firewall infrastructure configuration, maintaining and managing border security systems, such as threat protection intrusion detection URL filtering, global protect and support, monitoring and taking care of existing configuration changes for Networks, and being responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures in AWS and local datacenters.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs system-level design, configuration, integration, and implementation of perimeter security products, including firewalls (Palo-Alto & Fortinet), proxy devices, routers, and WAF solutions
  • Ensures compliance with organizational secularist rules and standards
  • Assist with monitoring and auditing of information systems activities and systems to confirm information security policy and provide management with security policy compliance assessments and system monitoring reports
  • identify configuration or policy flaws and gaps that increase risk or violate information security requirements
  • Perform validation of the firewall rules to verify that it meets the requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and security policy regarding firewall design best practices
  • Managing upgrade patches for Palo Alto and Fortinet products
  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, IP routing - BGP)
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem-resolution

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology-related field of study with a network engineering focus
  • Fortinet/Palo Alto certified – advantage
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware and firewalls
  • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, controllers
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
  • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
  • Ability to work with all levels of IT staff
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable and flexible when necessary
  • Network security experience
  • LAN and WAN experience

Salary Range: $180,000.00 - $230,000.00
