Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to manage, support, and enhance enterprise network infrastructure across the organization. This role acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for network operations, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and SLA compliance while working closely with internal teams, vendors, and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as SME for Network Infrastructure, providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers

• Manage day-to-day enterprise network operations (BAU) including incident resolution and troubleshooting

• Configure, manage, and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network monitoring systems

• Add, maintain, and decommission network devices as required

• Monitor network health, availability, and performance proactively

• Manage configuration files, backups, version control, and recovery

• Perform network troubleshooting across multi-vendor environments

• Plan and execute patching, firmware upgrades, rollouts, and releases

• Conduct capacity planning, performance testing, stress testing, and growth analysis

• Maintain accurate network inventories, topology diagrams, and technical documentation

• Work with vendors, telcos, and service providers to meet SLAs and resolve issues

• Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) exercises

• Ensure compliance with operational processes, standards, and regulatory requirements

• Identify risks, emerging threats, and recommend mitigation strategies

Required Skills & Experience

Core Network Operations

• Enterprise Network Operations & Support – 5+ years

• Strong experience in SLA-driven environments

Routing & Switching

• Cisco and/or Huawei routing & switching – 5+ years

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, subnetting, DNS, DHCP

Network Security

• Hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco) – 3–5+ years

Load Balancing & Traffic Management

• Experience with F5, VMware NSX-T, or Avi load balancers – 3–5+ years

Monitoring & Configuration Management

• Network monitoring & alerting tools – 3–5+ years

• Configuration, backup, and recovery management – 3–5+ years

Infrastructure & Lifecycle Management

• Network device lifecycle management – 5+ years

• Capacity planning and performance testing – 3–5+ years

Operations & Collaboration

• Vendor and service provider management – 3–5+ years

• DR & BCP participation – 3–5+ years

• Strong stakeholder and cross-team collaboration skills – 5+ years

Leadership

• SME / Technical leadership experience – 2–3+ years

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated or large enterprise environments

• Exposure to cloud networking (AWS / Azure)

• Automation or scripting experience (Shell, Python)
