Senior Mobile Developer - React Native

The Role

We are looking for talented Mobile Developers with a strong focus on React Native to join our team as we build a new product line of customizable mobile applications for the iGaming industry. As a Mobile Developer, you will collaborate with the Mobile Tech Lead and other engineers to design, develop, and maintain mobile applications that provide unique experiences for each of our brands.

You will be involved in all stages of the development lifecycle, from transforming designs and wireframes into efficient, high-quality code to ensuring the application’s scalability and performance. A strong emphasis on DevOps practices—continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and iterative releases—is key, as we aim to release small, release often, and leverage rapid feedback loops to improve the product.

Responsibilities

• Mobile Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android platforms. We use Expo for maximizing productivity in our development process.
• DevOps & CI/CD Mindset: Embrace a DevOps philosophy, promoting small, frequent releases, and continuous improvement through feedback loops. Work closely with the team to establish CI/CD pipelines and automation. We use Expo EAS cloud services for our mobile CI needs.
• Component-Based Design: Build reusable, modular components and libraries to enable efficient development and maintainability across different brands.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, designers, and backend developers to ensure the mobile applications meet functional and technical requirements.
• Testing & Quality: Focus on quality through automated testing, ensuring reliable and high-performance code. Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Feedback Loops: Regularly seek and incorporate feedback from stakeholders, end-users, and internal teams to improve the product iteratively.
• API Integration: Work with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs and other third-party services into the mobile applications. We also maintain our own very lightweight middleware for specific mobile backend needs with Supabase.
• Cross-Platform Consistency: Ensure the performance and quality of applications are consistent across iOS and Android platforms.
• Documentation: Write clear, concise technical documentation to ensure maintainability and facilitate onboarding of new team members.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 5+ years of professional mobile development experience with a focus on React Native.
• React Native Expertise: Deep understanding of React Native, including hooks, components, navigation, and state management.
• Mobile Development: Solid understanding of mobile development for both iOS and Android platforms.
• JavaScript and TypeScript: Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript for building type-safe, maintainable applications.
• DevOps Mindset: Passion for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and iterative improvement, with a strong belief in releasing early and often.
• Agile and Feedback Loops: Experience working in agile teams (Scrum/Kanban), focusing on iterative development, feedback loops, and rapid releases.
• API Integration: Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party service integrations.
• Version Control: Strong knowledge of Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Testing: Experience with unit testing frameworks and mobile testing tools to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical solutions clearly.
• Problem Solver: Analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with a pragmatic approach.

Additionally, while not required, the following bonus points are desirable in the best candidates.

• Experience in the iGaming industry.
• Experience with native development in iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin).
• Experience with modern web development
• Knowledge of third-party SDK integration (e.g., analytics tools, payment gateways, geolocation services).
