This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday, at our corporate HQ in Tempe, Arizona. 

About the team and position

The Nurture team is a talented and humble group of people with backgrounds in Product, Design, Data Science and Engineering, that are focused on building out our core product: a communication platform that delivers the right message to the right person at the right time in the right channel. Our scope includes communications ranging from marketing to transactional messages, delivered through email, SMS, and push notifications. You will dive deep into machine learning and LLM tools as we build the next generation of AI powered communication products.

We’re looking for incredibly intelligent, entrepreneurial, hard-working go-getters who are excited about working in a product-driven technology company to help us drive the best customer experience. You’re likely a great fit if you have a strong background in software development, expertise in system design and architecture, and strong problem-solving skills. Ideally, you are fanatical about building robust, scalable solutions, optimizing performance, and seeing your technical architecture come to life. You love addressing high-level technical challenges quickly and autonomously while building deep relationships with product stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

You will work closely with product and analytics teams to help build out scalable solutions that continue to drive our communications to customers. Additionally, you will help refine and solidify key infrastructure that drives our communication platform. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Deployment and Integration: Full software development lifecycle from design and development to testing and operating/monitoring in production.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Work with the Data Science team to build out services for training, monitoring and enhancing machine learning models’ accuracy.
  • Improve Business Outcomes: Communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and data analysts to ensure correct and timely implementation of requests. 

What you should have

  • 5+ years experience with Python
  • 3+ years Spark or other big data processing (Hadoop, Flink) experience
  • Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures and their real-world use cases
  • Experience with CICD processes (GitHub, GitLab, dbx) 
  • Expert knowledge of data integration concepts, business intelligence and data warehousing and implementing large systems
  • Understand how to be efficient with resource usage (e.g., system hardware, data storage, query optimization, AWS infrastructure, etc.)
  • Production quality coding standards and patterns

It would be great if you also had

  • Experience building products that use LLMs/GenAI
  • Experience with Claude, Copilot, Codex or other developer AI assistants
  • Experience building products with machine learning components, e.g. ranking systems 
  • Snowflake or BigQuery
