Diamond Foundry

Senior Metrology Engineer

€50.000 – €65.000 per year

TLDR

Develop and implement measurement systems for physical dimensions and defect detection while maintaining computer vision models and collaborating with production teams.

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy. Responsibilities
  • Development of routines for 3D measurements and extraction of form, dimensions, surface roughness/flatness.
  • Development, testing, and maintenance of deep learning vision models.
  • Developing tools for monitoring model performance and data integrity.
  • Effectively communicating results and recommending a course of action.
  • Acting as a point of contact between the metrology team and the process and production teams to define requirements and metrics. You will also partner with vendors to evaluate new optical/vision characterization equipment and technologies, upgrade existing tools, and expand capacity/throughput.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Material Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Fluency in Python and machine learning libraries (ex. sklearn), including experience with deep learning frameworks (ex. Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience with JMP and SQL is a plus.
  • Expert in data collection and analysis/interpretation, measurement & analysis automation scripting findings, DOE, SPC.
  • Effective communication and ability to thrive in a cross-functional development team, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Diamond Foundry believes in supporting our employees from the workplace to their personal and home life. We provide eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work. Perks include employee discounts to VRAI. All benefits offered are available starting your first day.
