About the Role
As a Senior Medical Economics at SafeRide Health, you will play a critical role in shaping financial decision-making as we continue to scale. This role exists to provide proactive, data-driven financial insights to senior leadership, helping ensure operational excellence and strategic clarity. You’ll own key forecasting and scenario planning workstreams, lead cross-functional financial initiatives, and drive improvements in how we evaluate performance and support growth — all in support of our mission to restore access to care for underserved populations.
Key Responsibilities
-
Identify trends across all drivers of cost on a granular level (unit cost vs. utilization, cost per mile, leakage, etc.) and deliver standardized executive updates on a regular cadence highlighting root causes, mitigation actions, forecast implications, and emerging headwinds.
-
Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning across multiple business units.
-
Build and maintain dynamic financial models (ARR, unit economics, cash burn, etc.).
-
Lead provider contract & performance analytics to support negotiation strategy and performance terms (capitation, shared savings/loss, reconciliation approaches).
-
Evaluate provider risk arrangement (capitation → shared risk/at-risk models), including scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, expected ROI, downside exposure, and operational readiness considerations.
-
Drive network adequacy and optimization analytics, including geo-mapping, access/capacity determinations, leakage/capture, opportunities to strengthen partnerships, and recommendations for network design changes.
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Product, and Strategy teams to improve data-driven decision-making.
-
Deliver executive-ready financial presentations with clear narratives and visualizations.
-
Design dashboards and track KPIs to measure business performance and strategic initiatives.
-
Support Board materials, fundraising activities, and scenario planning.
-
Contribute to ad hoc strategic projects that influence SafeRide’s growth trajectory.

-
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to distill complex data for executive audiences.
-
Strong contract analytics fluency: capitation and risk shares, withholds, corridors, reconciliation logic, and incentive design tradeoffs.
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
