Senior Mechanical Engineer – Hybrid (2 Days Onsite) A well-established engineering firm with a strong national presence is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Orlando, FL. This is a hybrid position requiring two days per week onsite. Position Overview The Senior Mechanical Engineer will serve as a technical and project leader within the mechanical engineering group. This role involves overseeing daily team activities, mentoring junior and mid-level staff, and guiding projects from conceptual design through construction completion. The position requires strong coordination with multiple in-house disciplines and frequent interaction with clients to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for driving technical excellence, managing schedules, and ensuring successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise mechanical engineering staff in daily tasks and long-term development. Manage mechanical engineering components for a wide range of project types and sizes. Provide technical leadership and maintain quality standards throughout all project phases. Coordinate effectively with internal multidisciplinary teams. Interface directly with clients regarding project objectives, progress, and deliverables. Guide projects from early design through construction administration. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license. 10+ years of experience within an architectural/engineering (A/E) environment. Proven experience managing projects and project teams. Strong mechanical engineering expertise with understanding of related disciplines.
