Senior Mechanical Engineer

Summary:
As Senior Mechanical Engineer. You'll spearhead the design and development of advanced systems for our Recycling Machines, driving environmental change.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize electro-mechanical systems and components

• Create detailed mechanical designs (3D models, assemblies, and Engineering BoMs) using CAD tools

• Ensure product robustness, reliability, and manufacturability through design reviews and tolerance analysis

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, manufacturing) to deliver high-quality products

• Support validation of components and adapt designs for local sourcing

• Drive and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing challenges, including implementing design changes

• Analyze customer issues using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., A3, Fishbone)

Requirements

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering

• 7+ years of experience in engineering design, including strong proficiency in SolidWorks (3D)

• Strong analytical, technical, and creative problem-solving skills

• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving methodologies

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external partners

• Willingness to travel internationally (Germany & USA)

• Fluent in English and Romanian
