The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Marketing Operations Executive to join our Marketing Operations team at Clarion Events. This role will focus on campaign operations, ensuring our marketing initiatives are effectively automated, data-driven, and optimised for maximum impact.

You will play a key role in shaping and refining campaign workflows, lead management strategies, and personalisation to enhance engagement and conversion across 4 divisions, including Phacilitate, Insurtech Connect, Energy Council and World Refining Association closely with the Head of Marketing Operations, you will be instrumental in implementing best-in-class marketing automation strategies that drive efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead campaign operations by developing, executing, and optimising marketing automation workflows, ensuring seamless lead nurturing and engagement.
  • Enhance and streamline campaign processes to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency through automation.
  • Manage and optimise our marketing tools to drive lead qualification, audience engagement, and conversion.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine lead management strategies, ensuring quality leads are effectively nurtured and handed off.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign effectiveness using key reach, engagement, and conversion metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement and oversee CRO strategies to improve website and landing page performance through A/B testing and optimisation.
  • Own and maintain marketing asset organisation, including tagging, naming conventions, and database structure to support efficient data segmentation and personalisation.
  • Work with central data teams to run complex queries and segmentation strategies, ensuring highly targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure legal compliance with data privacy regulations, including GDPR and PECR, and partner with central data teams on data hygiene initiatives.
  • Work closely with Group Marketing Operations to align on best practices, new technologies and cross sector benchmarking.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Proven experience in a marketing operations or campaign operations role, with a strong focus on automation, CRM, and process optimisation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Advanced expertise in marketing automation and CRM platforms (Pardot & Salesforce highly desirable).
  • Experience in conversational marketing tools such as Qualified highly desirable.
  • Experience with conversion rate optimisation (CRO) tools such as AB Tasty is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of key operational marketing metrics, including acquisition rates, conversion rates, database growth, lead nurturing, and engagement tracking.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and PECR.
  • Ability to consult, collaborate, and influence across multiple teams to drive campaign success.
