Job Purpose
The Senior Marketing Associate supports the development and delivery of externally facing product and programme narratives that actively drive the adoption of ZDHC’s programme and tools among our community stakeholders, including leading actors in the textile, apparel, and footwear sectors.
Working closely with the Senior Market and Product Growth Manager, the role is deeply involved in shaping positioning, go-to-market strategies, marketing plans, narratives, and materials for key initiatives across ZDHC’s Roadmap to Zero Programme and its enabling tools and products.
This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys turning complexity into clarity, helping build strong and consistent market narratives, and growing ownership as ZDHC’s marketing capability and product portfolio continue to evolve.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Support the development and refinement of clear product and programme narratives: help shape and continuously improve narratives that enable brands and suppliers to understand how to engage, progress, and create impact through ZDHC’s work.
Support the implementation of go-to-market strategies for key initiatives: work closely with the Senior Market and Product Growth Manager to translate positioning and strategy into concrete go-to-market actions, supporting campaigns, launches, and external engagement moments.
Translate complexity into clear value propositions: turn programme logic, technical concepts, and data-driven ideas into clear, compelling value propositions that resonate with external stakeholders and support adoption.
Develop, maintain, and safeguard marketing materials
Create and update high-quality marketing assets, such as presentations, overviews, and onboarding content, ensuring materials remain accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with programme and product developments.
Maintain a structured and accessible library of marketing assets, including templates and version control, to support consistency and easy reuse across teams.
Coordinate execution and feed learning back into messaging:
Coordinate and align work with external marketing agencies and resources involved in delivering marketing activities.
Collect insights from stakeholder conversations, trainings, events, and support interactions, and feed these learnings back into messaging, materials, and campaign improvements.
This role focuses on product and programme marketing. It does not cover PR, media relations, or corporate communications.
At least 5 years of experience in marketing, product marketing, programme marketing, or a closely related role in a complex, multi-stakeholder, or impact-driven environment.
Strong ability to understand messy systems and turn them into clear stories, structures, and narratives that other people can actually use.
Comfortable working somewhere between strategy and execution, meaning you enjoy thinking about how things should work and then rolling up your sleeves to make them actually work.
Experience supporting go-to-market strategies, launches, or positioning work for products, programmes, or platforms that are still evolving and occasionally changing direction.
Able to think conceptually without disappearing into theory, and pragmatic enough to turn ideas into concrete outputs.
Comfortable working closely with senior colleagues, challenging ideas constructively, and helping sharpen thinking rather than just nodding along.
Experience coordinating work with external partners, agencies, or collaborators, without needing a detailed brief for every step.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to explain complex ideas without making them sound boring.
It would be great (but it’s not a deal breaker) if you have experience working in sustainability, impact, or purpose-led organisations, ideally on topics where credibility actually matters, and greenwashing is not an option.
Experience working with the textile, apparel, or footwear sector is a plus. A background in sustainable chemical management is not required. Curiosity is.
ZDHC Specific Attributes

Able to manage multiple work activities and deliver results in a timely and efficient manner.
Goal-oriented, results-driven, whilst also being a confident communicator.
