ISEE is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Engineer to help build ISEE’s Autonomous Vehicle (AV) production line. This position will take ownership of the line and help ISEE grow our production capabilities and meet our autonomous yard tractor production goals. This is an opportunity to get in on the early stages of production and directly contribute to the success of the company.
Specific Responsibilities:
-Develop the autonomous system installation and vehicle bring-up work instructions.
-Own the assembly process end to end from subassemblies to full system end of line verification.
-Define facility layout for efficient build processes including component, sub-assembly and vehicle assembly stations and the work flows for each station.
-Document issues and provide feedback to the design team and leadership.
-Oversee the build team and ensure proper adherence to work instructions.
-Champion safe work culture.
-Troubleshoot issues with the autonomy system and the base vehicle.
-Interface with contract manufacturers for product and subassembly assembly and test.
-Perform hands-on production line tasks when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with vehicle or robotics manufacturing.
-Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Robotics or related field.
-Experience setting up and/or maintaining a shop meeting ISO 9000 standards.
-Proven history of managing a team of junior engineers, technicians, and contract manufacturers.
-Proven history of successful communication across multiple teams and departments.
-Detail oriented mindset with a focus on safety and procedure.
