Deep Technical Expertise: 10+ years of experience in Supplier Industrialization, Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Engineering, with a significant focus on composite airframe structures, bonded assemblies, and complex metallic components.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials, or Manufacturing Engineering (Advanced degree preferred).
Shop Floor Credibility: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues on-site at suppliers, particularly in layup, infusion, autoclave/oven cure cycles, and precision structural assembly.
Systems Thinking: Deep proficiency in AS9100, AS9145 (APQP/PPAP), and structured problem-solving (8Ds, 5-Whys, Fishbone) within a regulated aerospace environment.
Strategic Leadership: Experience building or leading technical teams through an OEM production ramp, with the ability to balance immediate tactical "fires" against long-term process scalability.
Influence & Communication: Ability to translate complex technical risks into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership and cross-functional partners in Engineering and Supply Chain.
Composite Specialization: Hands-on experience with high-rate composite manufacturing technologies, automated fiber placement (AFP), or advanced RTM processes.
Certification Pedigree: Previous experience supporting FAA/EASA Type Certification (TC) or Production Certification (PC) programs.
Tooling Mastery: Expertise in evaluating composite tooling designs for thermal stability, durability, and repeatability at rate.
Digital Integration: Experience leveraging PLM, ERP, and QMS systems to drive supplier transparency and data-driven quality decisions.
