We are looking for candidates with technical hands on and people/team management (direct reports) experience.

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team of developers building key components of our next-generation Firewall and Network Security platform. You will be responsible for technical leadership, people management, and delivery execution, ensuring that your team produces high-quality, high-performance code for enterprise-grade networking systems.

Note: Cyber/Network security domain experience is a must.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a team of engineers (mix of senior, mid-level, and junior developers).
Drive sprint planning, estimations, and execution tracking; ensure timely delivery of high-quality code.
Balance short-term goals with long-term technical sustainability.
Build a culture of accountability, technical rigor, and collaboration within the team.
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews for team members.
Participate in architecture and design reviews
Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to translate product requirements into robust, maintainable implementations.
Troubleshoot and guide resolution of production and integration issues when required.
Partner with the Director of Engineering and other managers to align on delivery priorities and architecture decisions.
Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and Product Management to ensure seamless integration and release readiness.

Required Skills & Experience

12+ years total experience in software development using C OR C++ programming language.
2-3 years of managing or leading teams in a Cyber security product environment.
Strong understanding of network security concepts (TCP/IP, IPsec, VPN, routing, NAT, DPI, etc.).
Experience building multi-threaded, performance-sensitive systems.
Familiarity with DPDK, Netfilter or similar packet processing frameworks is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, and lead delivery execution.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset.
