Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Project Management at Lauren is a business-focused leadership role responsible for growing Lauren’s midstream EPC/EPCM presence, strengthening client relationships, and driving commercial opportunities. Acting as a general manager for the U.S. market, this role leads market development, guides commercial strategy, and serves as a trusted advisor to owner-operator clients.
The successful candidate will help expand Lauren’s presence in Houston and enhance cross-border collaboration with Canadian teams. Alongside strong business leadership, this role provides senior project management oversight to ensure the effective execution of complex midstream projects. It supports teams in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership, Operations & Growth Enablement
o Serves as the primary in-country leader responsible for overall business management, operational excellence, and organizational growth within the U.S. market.
o Mentor and guide Project Managers and project leadership teams, reinforcing Lauren’s delivery standards, accountability, and values.
o Support hiring, onboarding, and development of project delivery resources aligned with business growth.
o Help establish and scale operational processes, project controls, and governance frameworks within Lauren’s Houston office.
o Collaborate closely with Canadian leadership to strengthen cross-border execution, resourcing, and knowledge sharing.
Business Growth & Marketing Development
o Support and lead business development efforts aligned with Lauren’s midstream EPC strategy.
o Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities through existing accounts and targeted market outreach.
o Contribute to proposal strategy, project scoping, execution planning, and commercial alignment.
o Partner with leadership to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Lauren’s Houston and U.S. midstream market presence.
o Leverage EPC/EPCM experience to articulate Lauren’s value proposition to owner/operator clients.
Client Development & Relationship Management
o Act as a trusted advisor and primary client contact for Lauren’s midstream owner/operator clients.
o Build, maintain, and grow senior-level client relationships that support repeat work and long-term partnerships.
o Lead client engagement throughout the whole project lifecycle, from opportunity identification through execution and closeout.
o Represent Lauren EPC in client meetings, negotiations, site visits, and industry events.
o Drive client satisfaction through transparent communication, accountability, and delivery excellence.
Project Delivery & Execution
o Provide senior oversight of midstream EPC/EPCM projects executed by Lauren, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality objectives.
o Lead project initiation, front-end planning, execution strategy, and risk management for pipelines, gas processing facilities, compression, terminals, and related infrastructure.
o Review and monitor project performance metrics and proactively address execution risks and commercial impacts.
o Collaborate with Lauren’s engineering discipline leads to resolve technical and execution challenges and ensure delivery consistency.
o Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, regulatory expectations, and applicable industry standards.
Communication & Governance
o Communicate clearly and confidently with clients, executives, and internal stakeholders on project status, risks, and opportunities.
o Translate technical execution into clear business-level insights for decision-makers.
o Escalate and support resolution of cross-functional issues impacting delivery, profitability, or client relationships.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
o Bachelor's or Master’s degree in an Engineering Discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering
o 10-15 years of formal training and experience in leading engineering and different technical teams.
o Experience in Senior Project leadership, program management, or client account roles.
o Experience with EPCM project delivery, including pipelines, gas processing, compression, terminals, and related energy infrastructure.
o Must be licensed as a professional engineer in the state of Texas.
Skills:
o Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of interacting with peers, project managers, site managers, and clients proactively
o Superior project management and leadership skills in a midstream EPC environment
o Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
Knowledge:
o Must be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices, etc., such as CSA Z662 and ASME B31.3, ASME, CSA.
Abilities:
o Proven ability to generate leads and close business opportunities
o Must have a proven track record of accomplishment as a project manager on industrial projects and be capable of working with a team of engineers, designers, and support personnel
