About the role The Senior Manager, Production (Creative Operations) is a senior individual contributor responsible for driving the people, processes, and partners that bring Wealthsimple’s creative and marketing work to life. Reporting to the Director, Marketing Operations, this role sits within the Integrated Marketing & Operations team and plays a critical role in ensuring marketing execution runs smoothly, efficiently, and at a high standard. This is a 6-month contract with a focus on operational excellence across creative production, resourcing, and workflow management. You’ll support integrated campaigns, brand initiatives, and product go-to-market moments, enabling creative teams to deliver ambitious work while balancing timelines, budgets, and business priorities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Production & Creative Operations
  • Lead end-to-end creative production across experiential projects, integrated campaigns, and product go-to-market initiatives, from brief through delivery
  • Own project intake and brief-ins: clarify goals, audiences, deliverables, and requirements, ensuring briefs are accurate, actionable, and set teams up for success
  • Own project workbacks, timelines, budgets, and scopes, maintaining clear visibility into risks, dependencies, and deliverables across all initiatives
  • Establish and manage creative operations workflows, ensuring clear communication and alignment across internal teams (creative, marketing, product, localization, legal), and external partnership (agency partners, vendors, freelancers)
  • Take a solutions-first approach to identifying risks, removing blockers, and adjusting plans as needed to keep work moving forward
  • Act as a calm, trusted operator who weighs cost, timing, and trade-offs, and recommends the best path forward when priorities shift
  • Serve as a thoughtful bridge between creative and marketing teams, enabling ambitious creative work while maintaining operational rigour and a consistent project drumbeat
  • Resource & Project Management
  • Partner closely with Marketing Operations and Creative leadership to align resourcing with business priorities
  • Forecast creative resource needs and manage capacity across internal teams and external support
  • Apply sound judgement to weigh trade-offs, assess options, and recommend the best path forward when priorities shift
  • Ensure the right talent is applied to the right work at the right time
  • Vendor & Partner Management
  • Build and manage strong relationships with agencies, freelancers, and creative vendors
  • Own scopes of work, contracts, and budget negotiations
  • Ensure external partners deliver work that meets Wealthsimple’s quality bar, timelines, and budget expectations
  • What you will bring:
  • Has strong experience leading creative production and operations across integrated marketing campaigns
  • Brings a proven track record managing complex timelines, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Is highly organised and comfortable driving multiple workstreams in parallel
  • Is resourceful, proactive, and confident navigating ambiguity
  • Can evaluate cost, risk, and reward to make sound recommendations and decisions
  • Is confident working with external vendors and negotiating scopes and contracts
  • Understands creative workflows across brand, digital, experiential, and product marketing channels
  • Is calm under pressure and consistently solutions-focused
  • Is fluent in project management tools (e.g., Asana) and operational best practices

    Compensation & Equity
    🤑 Base salary range: For this role, candidates located in Canada can expect a base salary range of CAD $152,000 - $190,000. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and role level. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of the range, and pay can increase quickly for those who make a big impact in the role.
    🚀 Total compensation: In addition to base salary, this role includes equity compensation. We use clear job levels and market-based salary bands to ensure compensation is fair and consistent across the company.
