As Promethean’s Senior Manager, Procurement, you will be the leader and key decision maker in the development and implementation of category strategies and improvement plans that support the organization's overall business goals. You will be responsible for identifying areas of opportunity for cost savings, supplier performance evaluation, and ongoing optimization of procurement processes. You will be responsible for evaluating and maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring that they meet the organization's standards for quality, compliance, and performance. Additionally, you will research and recommend new suppliers in a highly regulated environment, monitor market conditions, and provide input on strategic decisions that affect the organization's procurement program(s) to ensure the organization receives the best value for their purchases. In this role, you will lead the indirect sourcing including but not limited to Marketing & Sales, Product & Engineering, IT, Travel & Expenses, etc..
Responsibilities:
Influence and implement a strategic plan for specific indirect materials and services category spend such as professional services, facility services, MRO, utilities, human resources, IT/Telecom, travel etc. to support overarching category plans (short term plan?)
Manage a clear framework for cost savings, spend analysis, contract reviews, pricing, supplier management, and purchasing on an enterprise scale to standardize indirect purchasing policies and approach
Drive procurement impact and value through strategic initiatives and directly improve the Procurement experience for all cross-functional stakeholders and provide one voice to suppliers
Align with Finance and key stakeholders on indirect spending, budgets and savings pipeline
Partner with stakeholders to prepare corporate-wide bid packages utilizing RFI’s and RFP's
Build vendor partnerships and short-term procurement strategies with key stakeholder groups with (Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, Marketing etc.)
Be a strategic thought partner to senior leaders across the global corporate services organization while aligning on business objectives, challenges, projects, and requirements
Establish and monitor key performance metrics, status on deliverables, Dashboards, Market Intelligence, and ensure visibility and adoption of preferred supplier programs
Provide progress status briefings to management, project teams, and leaders , proactively highlighting issues with projects, timelines, etc., that require awareness or attention
Identify specific cost improvement opportunities and present them to the leadership for prioritization, resourcing, and implementation; align with corporate service teams on the implementation plans and drive execution and adherence to the strategy
Provide category expertise to stakeholders on industry best practices for Consulting and Contingent Labor categories
People development and management
Requirements:
8-10 years relevant work experience managing Professional Services categories plus a BS/BA or relevant work experience or MBA in a corporate environment, preferably in areas or travel, procurement and supplier
Experience in Global Procurement transformation projects working directly with business partners to execute on defined scope, budget, and transformation results
Strong interpersonal communication, cross-functional collaboration, and effective business partnering capabilities -Influence without authority mindset
Track record of applying procurement principles, concepts, best practices, and standards along with an in-depth knowledge of industry practices required
Experience working with and leading multiple projects and virtual teams simultaneously across an organization
Demonstrated ability in problem solving for unique challenges
Strong understanding in spend management, procurement best practices and business systems
Base Range: $126,200 - $173,580 + Bonus Eligible
