The role
Factor Europe is scaling rapidly, and we are ready to expand our customer experience beyond our core meal subscription. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Manager, Private Label Development to launch and build several new product categories from the ground up. In this role, you will define, develop, and bring to market a portfolio of branded products across a range of meal occasions (think: drinks, functional snacks, breakfasts, and much more!) which complement our core meal subscription.
This is a 0-to-1 role. You will act as the “General Manager” for this portfolio, building the strategy, the supplier relationships, the development process, and owning the P&L for the categories you build.
Whether you are a commercial operator who loves building systems, or a product developer ready to own the business side, this is a chance to build a new revenue stream for one of Europe’s fastest-growing food-tech brands.
What you’ll do
Strategy & P&L Ownership
-
Define the Portfolio: Partner with Product Management to identify the most pressing unmet needs of our customers. Which products will drive the highest retention and basket size?
-
Commercial Modelling: You are responsible for the commercial viability of these products. You will model unit economics, set pricing strategies to hit margin targets, and own the category P&L.
-
Market Intelligence: Analyze the competitive landscape to ensure our products offer a distinct value proposition in a crowded market.
Product Development & Sourcing
-
Lead the “Make vs. Buy” Decision: In addition to our own production, you will work extensively with external co-manufacturers. You will source partners (supported by our Sourcing team), assess their capabilities, and manage them to deliver on our quality and timeline targets.
-
Packaging & Brand: Oversee the development of packaging that is both operationally viable and commercially potent. You will write the briefs that guide our design team.
Process Architecture
-
Build the Machine: Since this function is new, you will design the “Stage-Gate” development process. You will create the templates, trackers, and decision frameworks that allow us to scale from 1 product to 100.
-
Orchestrate the Launch: You are the project lead for every SKU. You will manage the critical path from concept to “First Production Run,” coordinating timelines across Culinary R&D, Design, Operations, and Regulatory/FSQA.
-
Risk Management: You will proactively identify bottlenecks (whether it's a supply chain shortage or a regulatory hurdle) and solve them before they impact the launch date.
Who you are
-
You are a builder: You are comfortable working with ambiguity. You don’t need a playbook to be effective; you are excited to write the playbook.
-
You are a proven commercial operator: You understand that a great product is only great if the unit economics work. You are comfortable diving into Excel to model margins and costs, and you can translate between leadership, supply chain, culinary, and design.
-
You have high agency: You don’t get stuck easily: you ask why, you find workarounds, and you hustle to keep the project on track.
-
You are customer-obsessed: You have a strong intuition for what the modern health-conscious consumer wants, even without a massive research budget.
-
You have an eye for detail: You understand that in physical products, the details matter. You anticipate everything that could go wrong and plan for it.
Requirements
-
Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Product Management, Strategy & Operations, Category Management, or FMCG Brand Management.
-
Project Leadership: Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects with tight deadlines. You can show us how you organize chaos.
-
Vendor Management: Experience managing external partners is critical. This could be co-manufacturers, suppliers, or even agency relationships. You know how to hold third parties accountable.
-
Commercial Fluency: Strong Excel/modeling skills. You can build a business case and understand the levers of a P&L.
-
Bonus: Experience in the Food & Beverage industry, Private Label development, or physical supply chains.
