Argenta, Fort Dodge is currently looking to fill a Senior Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing role at our Fort Dodge, IA location.


The Senior Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing position is an opportunity for motivated, driven individuals to showcase their ability to multitask and work as a team.


The Senior Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing adds value through the following responsibilities:

  • Creates a culture of continuous improvement for processes, systems, training and people
  • Write and edit technical documents including Investigation reports, SOPs, and audit responses
  • Works with General Manager to establish and implement KPI’s for the manufacturing team and ensures the team meet or exceeds targets with an emphasis on efficiency, accurate costs and resource utilization
  • Collaborates with Procurement and Planning to ensure production schedule is accurate and there is timely inventory of raw materials for the purpose of ensuring schedule is met within budget and full utilization of people resources
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Works with MSAT and Site Manager to develop CapEx projects and continuous improvements to site
  • Provides robust analysis and reporting of key manufacturing metrics
  • Provide strong leadership in developing production operations talent, ensuring the team’s high performance and productivity levels
  • Models and instils a commitment to company values, creates and promotes a positive work environment and fosters teamwork across site
  • Provides leadership, coordination and coaching to the team including completing performance assessments, managing attendance and disciplinary issues as appropriate. Motivate and support employees, provide expert knowledge and guidance

 

Senior Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science field (such as chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, etc.), or combination of education and experience
  • Seven plus years of experience in Manufacturing operations leadership
  • Must be skilled technical writer and have attention to detail when reviewing technical documents
  • Possesses a strong understanding of GMP regulations
  • Solid business acumen, management, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Requires excellent technical written, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work with internal and external customers
  • Leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate and inspire team members.
  • Great understanding of production scheduling
  • Root cause analysis and strong problem-solving ability
  • Able to operate at a high level of proficiency
  • Able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Able to follow written directions of batch records, protocols, company policies, good manufacturing practices, and SOP’s
  • Present clear and concise information to stakeholders
