Position Summary

We are looking for a self-driven and ambitious Senior Manager of Accounting to own and operate our accounting function. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role for a seasoned accounting leader who enjoys being close to the work including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, while also providing oversight for accuracy and execution.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Own and execute the monthly close process, including preparation, review, and posting of journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Prepare and reconcile all material balance sheet accounts, including cash, credit cards, intercompany, equity, prepaid expenses, and accruals

  • Capitalize, amortize, and reconcile commissions and other prepaid or deferred costs

  • Record and reconcile revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled revenue in accordance with ASC 606

  • Apply cash receipts, reconcile accounts receivable, and maintain the allowance for doubtful accounts

  • Oversee and directly review all cash activity, including accounts payable, payroll, cash receipts, and bank transfers

  • Perform detailed review of payroll runs and prepare or review payroll-related journal entries and accruals

  • Record and reconcile inventory changes, lease amortization, and stock-based compensation

  • Execute and reconcile intercompany transactions

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to support leadership decision-making

  • Serve as the primary, hands-on point of contact for external audits

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability

Required Qualifications:

  • CPA or CMA

  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant hands on responsibility at a high-growth, startup, or healthtech environment

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including subscription-based revenue recognition (ASC 606)

  • Experience owning the full monthly close process and producing accurate, audit-ready financial statements and supporting schedules

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and models

  • Experience serving as a primary point of contact for external auditors

  • Experience using Campfire, Ramp, Anrok, and/or Rippling

Salary
$140,000 – $155,000 per year
