Main Job Duties
The Manufacturing manager will oversee overall daily operations of the factory production and manufacturing processes, to ensuring all related policies and procedures are followed. Develop processes that will maximize control, safety, quality and productivity.
Responsibilities
1. Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
2. Increase production, equipment capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
3. Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time delivery
4. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilizes equipment to produce optimal results
5. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
6. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
7. Develop a trusting relationship with work team and recruit, manage and develop manufacturing staff.
8. Collect and analyse data to eliminate and/or minimizes waste and/or enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
9. Commit and promote factory safety procedures.
10. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure best OEE.
11. Address employees’ issues or grievances and consciously create and maintain harmonious work environment.
12. Influence and learn from all level of the organization as well as his/her work team.
13. Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts.
Requirements
1. Proven work experience as a Production or Manufacturing Manager.
2. Proven managerial experience, preferably in automotive industry.
3. Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
4. Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
5. Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, planning & scheduling, inventory and control of processes.
6. Computer literacy.
7. Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
8. Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
9. Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field.
