We're thrilled to introduce a key role that connects our cutting-edge technology with the strategic oversight of indirect sourcing and governance across Europe. 

This position is central to ensuring all indirect sourcing activities; covering IT, facilities, professional services, sales-related services, HR-related services, and other non-production goods and services; adhere to German and European regulations, internal policies, and ISO management standards. 

As the central authority and process owner, you will empower and guide departmental sourcing representatives to manage their activities within a well-defined governance framework. Let`s have a closer look what`s important:

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the indirect sourcing governance framework in alignment with corporate strategy and ISO management standards.
  • Ensure all sourcing activities comply with German commercial law (HGB, BGB), data protection regulations (DSGVO/GDPR), and relevant ISO controls.
  • Lead, guide, and develop departmental sourcing representatives across all business units through the entire sourcing lifecycle.
  • Establish clear role definitions, delegation-of-authority matrices, and escalation protocols within the decentralized sourcing model.
  • Define and maintain a Supplier Management Framework, including onboarding, qualification, risk tiering, and exit procedures.
  • Develop and present regular sourcing performance dashboards to senior leadership, including savings, KPIs, and compliance status.

Your profile

All right, all right, that was intriguing, wasn't it? Now, to fit in this role, and be happy for a long time, your ideal background should look a lot like this:

  • University degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field; professional sourcing or supply chain certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in indirect sourcing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior advisory role, ideally with proven experience in managing or implementing decentralized sourcing structures.
  • Strong understanding of German contract law (BGB, HGB) and data protection regulations (DSGVO/GDPR) as applied to sourcing and service agreements.
  • Hands-on experience working within or alongside ISO-certified management systems.
  • Proficiency in sourcing management systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, or equivalent).
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, change management, and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across a decentralized structure.
  • English and German C1; intercultural competence is highly valued.
