Senior Manager, Digital Lending

Our client, a prominent financial institution in East Africa, is seeking a Senior Manager for Digital Lending to spearhead the development and execution of its digital lending strategy. This role entails designing and implementing innovative digital lending products, optimizing customer experiences, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance product performance.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for streamlining lending processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving customer acquisition through digital channels. Collaborating closely with IT, marketing, and operational teams, the Senior Manager will identify market trends and customer needs to enhance digital lending services, focusing on risk management and credit assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of digital lending products aligned with the bank's strategic goals.
• Manage and optimize the end-to-end digital lending process to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to innovate product offerings.
• Collaborate with technology teams to develop and improve lending platforms and tools.
• Engage with marketing teams to devise effective customer acquisition strategies.
• Monitor product performance, analyze data, and prepare insightful reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to digital lending.
• Foster relationships with external partners, including fintechs and technology providers.
• Lead and mentor a team of professionals dedicated to digital lending initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• At least 8 years of experience in digital lending, consumer credit, or financial product management, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Strong understanding of digital lending models, credit risk management, and alternative credit scoring methodologies.
• Proven track record in driving product growth and innovation in digital products.·   Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Strategic thinking and business acumen.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management in digital lending.
• Ability to drive innovation and leverage technology to enhance lending solutions.
