Senior Manager, Digital Data Analytics

Our Client, a major commercial Bank in Tanzania is looking for a highly experienced Senior Manager in Digital Data Analytics to lead analytics initiatives across various sectors. This role is integral in transforming data into insights that drive business growth and innovation. The Senior Manager will oversee analytics projects, leveraging advanced tools and methodologies to enhance data-driven decision-making processes within the organization and for its clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement analytics strategies to support data-driven decision-making across various business units.
• Manage end-to-end analytics projects, from defining business requirements to delivering actionable insights.
• Utilize advanced statistical techniques and tools to analyze data and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Oversee the design and deployment of predictive and prescriptive models to optimize business processes and improve performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed analytics into business operations and strategy.
• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making by providing training and support to stakeholders.
• Maintain oversight of the analytics team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure project success.
• Act as a key liaison between the analytics team and senior management, presenting findings and recommendations clearly and compellingly.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in digital analytics, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, IT, or a related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 9 years of experience in digital banking, product innovation, or fintech.
• Proven track record in driving digital transformation and emerging banking solutions.
• Experience in managing digital payment channels, mobile banking, and remittances.
• Strong knowledge of operational efficiency strategies and cost optimization in digital banking.
• Demonstrated success in implementing and scaling digital-first banking initiatives.
• Experience in digital deposit mobilization and process improvement strategies.
• Experience in building and managing fintech partnerships, startup collaborations, and digital incubations.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in digital banking, fintech, and emerging technologies.
• Proven experience in digital product development and lifecycle management.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Deep understanding of customer behaviour and digital transformation trends.
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Ability to drive innovation and create future-ready digital banking solutions.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing digital banking in Tanzania.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in risk management, fraud prevention, and compliance in digital banking.
• Expertise in digital deposit mobilization and process optimization for reduced TAT.
• Strong understanding of partnerships, fintech collaboration, and ecosystem expansion.
• Ability to lead digital incubation projects and drive innovation programs.
