About the Role

Senior Manager, Commercial Sales Reports To: Sales Director. Commercial & Velocity.  The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for managing and leading an Account executive Team by overseeing sales, operations, and strategies for new and existing customers of Veeam Software. 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and coach a team of 5–10 Account Executives or Team Leads to achieve sales targets and drive high-volume results.
  • Oversee territory planning, pipeline management, and forecasting to ensure predictable and consistent performance.
  • Identify growth opportunities within accounts and implement scalable approaches to maximize team impact.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including director- and C-level contacts.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align strategy and drive business outcomes.
  • Monitor performance metrics and address gaps to continuously improve team effectiveness.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment aligned with Veeam values.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience leading or influencing sales teams within the Commercial market segment (500+ employees), with a proven track record of driving results through direct management or cross-functional leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive high-volume sales performance while maintaining pipeline discipline, accurate forecasting, and predictable results.
  • Success coaching and developing Account Executives to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
  • Strong operational leadership skills, including territory planning, pipeline management, and performance tracking.
  • Experience managing both transactional sales cycles and select complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities within larger commercial accounts.
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and implement structured approaches to scale successful strategies across the team.
  • Credibility and executive presence to engage effectively with key customer decision-makers, including director- and C-level contacts.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders within a matrixed organization to drive business outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of the modern IT landscape—including security, virtualization, infrastructure, and data resilience—and the ability to connect technical capabilities to business outcomes is preferred.

Compensation Transparency

Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, and skills. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.
