As the Senior Manager Business Development & Partnerships, you will be the primary growth driver for Rayn’s expansion. This is a senior, market-facing role that requires someone who can open doors with SMEs, startups, enterprises and government entities, build and convert a pipeline, and represent Rayn. You will be the face of Rayn with clients and partners, leading the full BD lifecycle from initial outreach through to contract close, while also working closely with leadership to shape go-to-market strategy.
What you will bring to Rayn as a Senior Manager Business Development & Partnerships
Business Development
- Own end-to-end BD pipeline across local and global markets including North America, Europe, MENA, and APAC.
- Identify, qualify, and close deals with technology companies, enterprises, funded startups, and scale-ups.
- Build and manage a healthy, well-documented pipeline with consistent forecasting and follow-through.
- Develop account expansion strategies to grow revenue within existing clients.
Strategic Partnerships
- Build and manage a portfolio of strategic alliances with system integrators, consulting firms and technology platforms. .
- Identify channel and referral partners who can extend Rayn’s market reach
- Represent Rayn at industry events, technology conferences, and networking forums globally.
- Develop joint go-to-market arrangements with complementary partners where appropriate.
GTM Strategy & Market Positioning
- Collaborate with leadership to define and refine the go-to-market strategy across verticals and geographies.
- Gather and synthesise market intelligence to inform Rayn’s positioning, pricing, and service evolution.
- Work with delivery and technical teams to ensure proposals are credible, realistic, and competitive.
- Lead the development of proposals, pitch decks, and capability presentations for strategic opportunities.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted partner and senior point of contact for key accounts.
- Proactively identify account expansion opportunities, new service lines, team scale-ups, and multi-year engagements.
- Maintain strong client satisfaction through regular engagement and coordination with delivery teams.
- Support client onboarding and ensure smooth transitions from BD to delivery.
Reporting & Accountability
- Provide structured weekly pipeline updates and monthly performance reviews to Rayn leadership
- Track lead conversion, follow-ups, and pipeline drop-offs with full transparency
- Operate with a clear accountability framework: quantifiable targets, regular debriefs, and documented next steps
Who We’re Looking For
- More than 8 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial leadership, preferably within technology, consulting, or digital services
- Demonstrated track record of closing complex, high value B2B deals across multiple geographies.
- Familiarity with outbound email tools (e.g. Apollo, Lemlist, HubSpot) and CRM systems
- Prior experience of international sales in AI, data, cloud and software services is necessary
- Experience building or scaling a partnership or BD function from the ground up is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional relationship building skills, able to engage confidently at C-suite and Director level
- Strong, active network across technology buyers, decision-makers, and ecosystem partners, globally or in at least two key regions
- Strong commercial acumen: ability to structure deals, assess opportunity value, and navigate negotiations
- Ability to work independently and operate with ownership and urgency in an early-market environment
- Comfortable working across time zones and with globally distributed teams.
