Opportunity:

This is an exciting new opportunity at XR to join our team in the role of Senior Management Accountant – Payroll based in our Shared Service Center in Budapest. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing payroll-related reconciliations, ensuring compliance, preparing complex variance analysis, mentoring junior staff, supporting audits, and escalating issues to the R2R Team Lead/Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review reconciliations and journals prepared by Juniors/MAs
  • Ensure compliance with payroll-related US GAAP requirements
  • Mentor junior payroll accountants and provide technical guidance
  • Prepare complex variance analysis and reports for management
  • Support audits, liaise with auditors, escalate complex issues
  • Support the filing of the payroll text returns
  • Manage responsibilities for North America, covering US and CA entities

Requirements

Education & Professional Experience

  • 4–6 years payroll accounting/finance
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance
  • CPA/ACCA progress a plus

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced payroll accounting
  • ERP/HRIS
  • Excel advanced
  • NetSuite preferred
  • Workday/ADP
  • Strong understanding of payroll-related GAAP accounting, controls and compliance
