Responsibilities:

This role would be responsible for managing and supervising organization's technical operations which includes overseeing IT department employees and ensuring all technology systems and applications support the organization's goals and objectives.

Technical Expertise:

  • Overseeing all IT operations, network support, IT security and IT infrastructure.
  • Define and apply centralized IT policies and systems across the APAC region to support the implementation of business objectives.
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating IT projects in line with organizational objectives.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of current projects and technology systems.
  • Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, configurations or opportunities for new systems.
  • Proposing strategic solutions and recommending new systems and software.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with external advisors and vendors.
  • Ensuring reported issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Review and analyse helpdesk metrics and performance reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for training.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues and complex user inquiries.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to IT team members.
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient workflow and timely resolution of user issues.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote professional growth and development.

Process Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline IT processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement best practices for incident management, problem resolution, and knowledge management within the team.
  • Collaborate with Central / Regional IT teams to implement system enhancements and improvements based on user feedback and other performance metrics.
  • Support a follow-the-sun IT support model and work effectively with international teams across time zones.

Scope:

  • Central IT / APAC HUB: 70%
  • India Specific: 30% minimum for existing set up. Basis additional requirements, this role will take on Project management and Governance responsibilities for additional projects that are rolled out in the course of the subsequent years.

Must Have:

  • At least 7 years of management experience in an IT environment with significant exposure to the APAC region, including China.
  • Proven experience working with Google Workspace, Slack.
  • Sound working knowledge of IT operations, systems, and developments.
  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
