Senior JD Edwards (JDE) Functional Consultant - Manufacturing and Distribution

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping world-class JD Edwards solutions?

Join Version 1, one of Europe’s fastest-growing technology consultancies and an award-winning Oracle Partner, where innovation, growth, and excellence go hand in hand.

We’re looking for an experienced JD Edwards Functional Consultant who’s not just a problem-solver, but a people leader — someone who thrives on mentoring others, driving service excellence, and making a real impact for global customers.

At Version 1, you’ll work with cutting-edge JDE technologies across Manufacturing and Distribution, lead talented consultants, and collaborate with some of the most experienced Oracle professionals in the industry. You’ll have the autonomy to shape processes, elevate customer success, and continuously develop your own career — all within a company that’s been recognised as a Great Place to Work for over a decade.

If you’re passionate about leadership, service delivery, and maximising the value of enterprise solutions, this is your chance to join a team that’s as ambitious and driven as you are.

The Role

In this customer-facing role, you’ll combine hands-on functional consulting within Manufacturing and Distribution domains with team leadership responsibilities.

You’ll manage a group of JDE consultants and analysts, ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality managed services, while driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

You’ll be key to ensuring that incidents, service requests, and change initiatives are delivered on time, within SLA, and to the highest standard.

What You’ll Do

Functional Consulting

  • Lead the analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of JDE modules including Manufacturing (Shop Floor Control, Work Orders, Product Costing) and Distribution (Inventory Management, Sales Order Management, Procurement).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, conduct gap analyses, and recommend process improvements.
  • Support full solution delivery — testing, training, and deployment.

People Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a team of JDE support consultants and analysts.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews, allocate resources, and support professional growth.
  • Ensure timely case resolution and accurate client invoicing through effective oversight.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, high-performance team culture.

Service Excellence

  • Oversee incident, problem, and change management through our ServiceNow-based system, Engage.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and continuous service improvement.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex functional issues.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and regular service reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with Service Delivery Managers, Account Managers, and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Present functional designs, updates, and performance insights to senior leadership and clients.

What You’ll Bring

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive hands-on experience with JD Edwards ERP (Manufacturing & Distribution focus).
  • Background in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain business processes.
  • Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) and working knowledge of ITIL principles.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Organised, analytical, and process-oriented with a passion for service improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • JDE certification in relevant modules.
  • ITIL Foundation (or higher).
