Senior Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to help further develop our advanced software platform TEAMS. This platform supports container terminals worldwide in automating container transport.

You’ll work on complex, scalable, and customer-specific solutions, using your expertise to build robust and future-proof software.

And trust us: working with such impressive machines — from giant cranes to self-driving vehicles — sometimes feels like playing with your favorite toy cars as a kid, but on a scale you only see in movies. It’s not just technically challenging, it’s also incredibly cool.

What will you do?

• Design and implement technical solutions for complex challenges.
• Modernize our software stack including frameworks, architecture, and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate intensively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Actively share knowledge and mentor colleagues through technical challenges.
• Configure our software for unique customer environments.
• Work on international projects, including on-site terminal startups around the world.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Java Developer.
• Thorough knowledge of recent Java versions (from version 11 onwards).
• Experience with tools and frameworks such as Camunda, Kafka, Spring Boot, Hazelcast, and JUnit.
• Affinity with front-end technologies, test automation, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, methodical approach.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both in Dutch and English.
