ARHS Group – part of Accenture – is looking for a Senior Java Developer with AI knowledge for one of its clients at the EU Institutions in Brussels
Role & Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining software applications.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance to ensure best practices are followed.
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement of the development process.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
Your Profile:

EU27 citizenship with legal right to work

Master's degree in Computer Science from a recognized European university (Recent AI graduates would be considered an asset)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

AI certifications from recognized institutions would be considered an asset
Technical Skills:

5-10 years of proven experience in software development and integration
- Prior experience within EU Institutions required
- Strong expertise in Java, database management, and messaging systems
- Solid foundation in AI concepts and Large Language Model (LLM) architectures
- Hands-on experience developing AI-powered applications (chatbots, LLM interfaces, RAG pipelines etc.)
- Proficiency in Python programming with exposure to either TensorFlow or PyTorch frameworks or library
- Experience with Java Spring and/or PPH Drupal development would be considered an asset
- Prior exposure to Haystack, LangChain or equivalent frameworks would be considered an asset

Exposure to NoSQL datastores specifically in the context of vector embeddings handling would be considered an asset
