Senior Java Developer - HDQEO002

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to take on a technical role in Romania. This position involves leading Java development efforts, ensuring high-quality code, and managing technical discussions while working closely with international teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining team rules, development workflows, and best practices, as well as mentoring junior developers in the future.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work model, allowing remote work with occasional visits to Cluj for in-person collaboration.

• design and development of Java-based applications.
• Define and implement software architecture, ensuring high-performance solutions.
• Analyze client requirements and translate them into software solutions.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and automated testing.
• Take charge of technical team leadership, mentoring developers and evaluating technical skills.
• Organize and mediate technical discussions between teams in Romania and Germany.
• Stay updated on modern development practices and introduce innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects in the automotive and public sectors.
• Ensure smooth project execution, coordinating with project managers from Germany and Romania.
• Work with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies, depending on the project needs.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Java development, particularly in web applications.
• Strong expertise in Spring, JPA, and SQL, along with automated testing frameworks.
• Experience in software architecture and system design.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and take initiative in solving technical challenges.
• Experience in leading and mentoring development teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Fluent English (C1 level required) and German proficiency strong advantage.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience working with international teams in a distributed environment.
• Prior experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
• Candidates should be based in Romania, preferably in or near Cluj, and willing to travel for team collaboration when necessary.
