Senior Java Backend Developer

On behalf of our client, a leading global platform for flights and an exclusive partner for the biggest online booking platform, we are currently looking for an influencing and motivated Java Engineer to join one of the company’s development teams.

A day in the life of a Senior Java Engineer

You will be an expert in Software Development, and able to design your code with performance and quality in mind. You must have the hunger to learn and share your knowledge within an agile development team.

Your day-to-day

• You will be part of a team, who designs and implements features for the back-end system
• You will test your code and write automated tests
• You will be reviewing code, and your code will be reviewed
• As part of the team, you will participate in the collaborative team activities
• Contribute to overall strategic direction and roadmaps, working together with heads of engineering and product managers

Requirements

What you will need

• 6+ years experience in Java
• Good knowledge of REST and/or SOAP
• A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Experience with Agile Methodologies

Great to have

• experience with C#
• you have knowledge of the travel industry
