Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, resilient Java microservices; build high-throughput REST/gRPC APIs.
  • Own supplier/carrier/marketplace integrations end-to-end (auth, mapping, retries, monitoring, performance).
  • Model relational schemas in PostgreSQL and scalable NoSQL in ScyllaDB; optimize SQL and indexes.
  • Implement caching with Redis/Valkey; identify bottlenecks and improve throughput/reliability.
  • Add observability (logs, traces, metrics); collaborate with DevOps on AWS EKS deployments and CI/CD.
  • Write clean, well-tested code; perform reviews; mentor mid/junior engineers; contribute to internal frameworks.
  • Partner with Product/QA/business; document APIs, workflows, integrations, and architecture.
  • Communicate effectively in English.

 

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of backend engineering with Java; strong concurrency, OOP/design patterns, and distributed systems.
  • Advanced Spring Boot (Web, Data, Security, Scheduling).
  • Hands-on Kafka for high-volume processing (partitioning, retries).
  • Strong SQL; experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Microservices communication using REST and gRPC.
  • Cloud experience (AWS preferred); Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD familiarity.
  • External API integrations (suppliers, carriers, payments, logistics, marketplaces).
  • Proven performance optimization in large-scale systems.
  • Excellent communication; collaboration with distributed teams; high ownership; organized, detail-oriented; willing to mentor and learn.
  • Advanced English.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with ScyllaDB/Cassandra or other high-write NoSQL systems.
  • Experience with event-driven sagas/workflow orchestration frameworks.
