(Senior) IT Systems Engineer - Core IT Infrastructure

We’re looking for a hands-on IT infrastructure pioneer with a broad skillset, leadership potential, and the drive to shape the future Snke Core IT infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a foundational team that will not only ensure continuity of IT services but also help design and implement the IT landscape for a new, independent organization.

As this role will grow into a central position within the expanding Snke IT organization, we’re seeking someone who not only masters diverse technologies but is also ready to take ownership, lead initiatives, and help build a strong, scalable infrastructure from the ground up.

This involves:

  • Data center facilities and server hardware
  • Virtualization technologies including storage landscape (VMware)
  • Backup and disaster recovery
  • Windows and Linux server management
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure environments
  • Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure architecture designs
  • Hands-on experience with servers, storage systems and backup environments in on-prem facilities
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure management
  • Good understanding of IT security concepts
  • Analytical troubleshooting skills
  • Exposure to data center and network automation
  • Structured, analytical, and service-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
  • Relevant certifications are a plus
