A career opportunity exists for a 2nd Line Support Consultant seeking growth and being part of the Infrastructure as a Service team. The IT Support Consultant is key in deploying, maintaining and securing key infrastructure for the business.The candidate will report to the Technology Services Manager.
Key Duties include and are not limited to:
Infrastructure Support Services
- Provide 2nd through to 3rd line systems support and management
- Installing, maintaining, and monitoring of the VMWARE and Azure hosting environments
- Updating and patching software and hardware as per vendor requirements
- Pre-emptive maintenance on systems and the scheduling, designing, and monitoring thereof
Provide network support:
- Wi-Fi
- LAN cabling
- Switch management
- VLan’s and Network segregation
- Firewalls
- Fortinet / Forticlient
- VPN
- Documentation and Training
- Training end-users on how to effectively utilise technology
- Creating documentation and materials to help educate both your customers and fellow team members on technical aspects of the product
- Documenting of knowledgebase, User Guides, and Technical Guides
The ideal candidate holds the following:
- A formal Information Technology tertiary qualification would be preferable (Degree or similar)
- MSCE and 2 years managing VMware clusters experience (A MUST HAVE)
- CISM or CCSP qualifications or experience (advantageous)
- VMWARE VCP
- N+
- ITIL V3 Certified (beneficial)
- SharePoint Certified (beneficial)
- VMWARE VCP Certified (beneficial)
- CompTIA Security+ (beneficial)
