The Senior Invoice Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing utility and invoice acquisition processes for a broad portfolio of clients. This role applies in-depth knowledge of billing systems and utility operations to ensure timely receipt, accurate processing, and issue resolution for client utility invoices. The specialist serves as a key point of contact for escalations, supports process improvements, and collaborates across teams to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of client services with minimal oversight, ensuring timely and accurate invoice acquisition
Resolve complex invoice discrepancies by liaising with utility providers and internal teams
Recommend and implement improvements to invoice receipt processes and tracking systems
Train and mentor team members to support overall team development and knowledge sharing
Maintain strong relationships with utility providers to streamline communication and resolve recurring issues
Support the onboarding of new properties by working cross-functionally to ensure invoice readiness
Ensure all invoice activities are compliant with tax regulations, accounting standards, and company policies
Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including documentation of best practices and process updates
Assist leadership with reporting and performance insights related to invoice management
Essential Functions:

Maintain invoice data accuracy and consistency in line with compliance standards

Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data handling
Proven ability to resolve moderately complex issues using sound judgment
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Capable of mentoring others and contributing to team growth and knowledge sharing
High school diploma or equivalent
