Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Design: Lead the design of enterprise-level infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, network, and cloud systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies to determine infrastructure requirements and propose effective design solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, security, and operations, to ensure designs meet both business and technical requirements.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration standards, and implementation plans.
  • Standards and Best Practices: Establish and enforce design standards, processes, and best practices to optimize system performance and maintain security compliance.
  • Project Management: Manage infrastructure design projects, overseeing timelines and deliverables, and providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct system testing and validation to ensure solutions meet specifications and perform as expected before deployment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, exploring new tools and methodologies to improve infrastructure design processes.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of professional work experience in relation to network areas such as landlines, cellphones, voice, video and data networks, and wireless communications.
  • Experience in Visio and AutoCAD as well as more complex network engineering tools and tasks.
  • Experience in systems studies including planning, design, development, and modifications of existing and planned voice and data communications network systems and subsystems. This position is required to have a
  • BICSI, RCDD certification is required. This certificate must be obtained no later than ninety (90) days after Task Order award.  The Contractor must provide a written plan for attaining the required certification no later than ninety (90) days after Task Order award for personnel that do not current meet this certification.
