Zoox is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to lead the design and execution of logistics and material flow strategies across our manufacturing and distribution operations. The ideal candidate brings expertise in warehouse design, automotive logistics, and product launch readiness, with a focus on driving efficiency, optimizing material movement, and enabling scalable operations within our growing footprint.   You’ll join a collaborative team dedicated to innovation, continuous improvement, and building a safer and more sustainable urban future. In this role, you will:
  • Lead and drive material flow strategy across our manufacturing and distribution operations, ensuring stakeholder engagement and timely project completion against company milestones
  • Develop efficient and effective warehouse and manufacturing operations. This includes planning lineside layouts and equipment, considering factors such as material flow, storage capacity, and operational requirements. Partner closely with cross-functional teams during new product launches to ensure smooth coordination of logistics operations. Serve as a liaison to align communication, timelines, and operational requirements
  • Identify and drive process improvements that reduce cost and increase efficiency
  • Lead initiatives involving lean practices, automation, and technology adoption
  • Analyze material flow to uncover bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Implement strategies that reduce lead times, improve throughput, and optimize inventory levels
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Define and maintain KPIs to measure logistics performance and effectiveness. Track progress and provide visibility to leadership
  • Translate company goals into operational objectives for the team. Promote productivity, collaboration, and integration within the broader organization
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience supporting automotive or high-tech manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to automation, warehouse technology, or advanced material handling systems
  • Experience implementing lean systems in scaling organizations
  • Simulation or advanced modeling capabilities
