Summary of the Role:

As a Senior Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering you are responsible for supporting the overall production area across SMT, Test, and Backend operations to ensure production schedules, goals, and objectives are achieved. You manage and communicate production priorities, oversee operator teams, and handle labor planning, performance management, training, attendance, while upholding 6S and line cleanliness standards. You collaborate closely with engineering and support teams to resolve daily production issues, drive process improvements, and audit compliance with standard work and visual instructions.

Job Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:

  • Assist to support overall production area, that covering SMT, Test and Backend as Junior Supervisor.
  • Provide clear, regular communication of production priorities, challenges, and status across the shift to meet production schedules, goals and objectives.
  • Directly manage Operators team, routinely provide guidance on career development in your team and regularly conducting performance management. engagement activities and monitor attendance.
  • Responsible for labor planning and allocation between processes, 6S, line cleanliness, tardiness and training.
  • Collaborate with Engineering/Supporting Team to solve day to day excursion, implement line process changes or new implementations for improvements.
  • Periodically audit production adherence to visual aids and standard instructions.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field of study.
  • Progressive work experience in time study, line balancing, productivity metrics, capacity planning, budget & cost control, and variance analysis.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve daily production issues and implement process improvements.
  • Industry exposure in the Electronics or Semiconductor Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in production support, line supervision, or manufacturing engineering with exposure to operator management.

Tools, Application and System Requirements:

  • Familiarity with ERP systems particularly Oracle or SAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • Exposure in using Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tools.

Skills and Competency Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of production planning, labor allocation, and shop-floor control to meet schedules, operational targets and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Strong knowledge of capacity planning & forecasting methods, OEE analysis, time study and work measurement techniques.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage operator teams, including performance management, training, engagement activities, and attendance monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of 6S, line cleanliness, visual management, and adherence to standard work instructions.
  • Ability to analyze production challenges, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support new process or line implementations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey priorities, challenges, and status across shifts.
  • Proficient in basic manufacturing metrics, reporting, and auditing practices, with a hands-on, results-oriented mindset.
