Role: Senior HR Generalist, East Coast

As Ambient’s newest Senior HR Generalist, you will have a crucial role in the operations of the subsidiaries on the East Coast. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing core HR functions while serving as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership. This position combines strategic HR partnership with hands-on operational responsibilities to ensure compliance, foster employee engagement, and support organizational growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide counsel and support to managers on HR policy application and employee relations issues.
  • Investigate and resolve workplace disputes, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws (ADA, FMLA, FLSA).
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead HR projects such as culture-building programs and organizational development.
  • Partner with managers to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding experiences for employees.
  • Support managers in conducting performance appraisals and setting development plans.
  • Partner with leadership on change management and workforce planning.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a human resources role, preferably with experience in onboarding, development, and employee relations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulation

Estimated Salary: $120, 000 - $140,000 with flexibility depending on experience.
