Our client has been on a mission to build healthier communities, starting with real food. As they scale their digital platform and deepen our understanding of guest behavior and restaurant operations, we are looking for a Senior Growth Analyst to lead experimentation, incrementality measurement, and analytics that drive strategic decisions across Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Culinary, and Operations. This role is critical in quantifying the true impact of our initiatives—from menu launches to promotional campaigns to loyalty program enhancements—and translating statistical rigor into business action.
Senior Growth Analysts are trusted partners to business leaders and play an important role in building sweetgreen's culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making. They work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that tests are well-designed, results are actionable, and learnings compound over time.
Experimentation Design and Analysis — Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and quasi-experiments across menu, pricing, promotions, and product features. Ensure statistical rigor in sample sizing, randomization, and inference while communicating results in business terms that drive action.
Incrementality and Causal Measurement — Develop and maintain frameworks for measuring true incremental impact, including pre/post with control methodologies, synthetic control, difference-in-differences, and matched market designs. Apply these frameworks to high-stakes decisions like loyalty program rollouts, menu changes, and marketing spend allocation.
Customer and Cohort Analytics — Build deep understanding of guest behavior through cohort analysis, lifetime value modeling, retention curves, and segmentation. Partner with Marketing and Product to identify drivers of acquisition, engagement, and churn, and quantify the impact of interventions on these outcomes.
Operations and Supply Chain Analytics — Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to analyze restaurant-level performance, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and food cost drivers. Apply analytical rigor to operational experiments such as prep process changes, new equipment rollouts, or scheduling optimizations. Support the development of operational KPIs and identify opportunities for efficiency gains across the fleet.
Business Partnership and Insight Generation — Serve as an embedded analytics partner to Marketing, Product, Culinary, and Finance teams. Translate ambiguous business questions into testable hypotheses, deliver rapid-turnaround analyses for executive decision-making, and proactively surface insights that inform strategy.
Framework and Capability Development — Build repeatable, scalable analytical frameworks that can be applied across the organization. Document methodologies, create templates, and enable other analysts to leverage best-in-class approaches to measurement and experimentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration — Act as a bridge between Data Science & Analytics and business stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Finance, Operations, and Culinary. Facilitate alignment on test design, success metrics, and interpretation of results. Advocate for statistical rigor while remaining pragmatic about business constraints and timelines.
5+ years of experience in growth analytics, marketing analytics, experimentation, or applied statistics roles, preferably in consumer, retail, or restaurant environments
Expert proficiency in SQL for complex data analysis, transformation, and ad-hoc investigation
Strong statistical analysis, including experimentation, regression, and causal inference methods
Deep expertise in experimental design and analysis, including A/B testing, power analysis, and handling common pitfalls (e.g., multiple comparisons, novelty effects, interference).
Experience with quasi-experimental methods such as difference-in-differences, synthetic control, regression discontinuity, or propensity score matching
Familiarity with customer analytics concepts including LTV mdeling, cohort analysis, retention analysis, and segmentation
Experience with operational or supply chain analytics (labor modeling, inventory optimization, food cost analysis) is a plus
Strong business acumen with a track record of partnering with non-technical stakeholders (Marketing, Product, Finance) to frame questions, design studies, and drive decisions through data
Ability to communicate statistical concepts and analytical findings clearly to diverse audiences, balancing rigor with accessibility
Experience with modern data tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Looker, or similar platforms preferred
