The position and your daily adventures

We are looking for a Senior Go/Python Developer who demonstrates strong ownership end-to-end. This means proactively anticipating problems before they surface, deeply understanding how the business operates, and how decisions made in one team impact others across the organisation. You won’t wait for detailed instructions — instead, you’ll actively identify opportunities to improve systems, performance, and processes, and take initiative to drive solutions forward. You are comfortable challenging assumptions, collaborating closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams, and going beyond your immediate scope to ensure outcomes are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

You will be responsible for maintaining many data-intensives applications that process billions of events. This role requires a profound understanding of Go/Python programming, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. 

This is a full-time position remote position based in Argentina. 

What you can expect:

• Maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable applications using the Go and Python programming languages.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments.
• Optimize applications for performance and scalability.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in overall software development.
• 5+ years of experience with Go & Python programming language.
• Proven experience building data-intensive applications.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with observability tooling, like Prometheus and Grafana.
