Role Overview
As a Senior GL Accountant within the IMI CC BSC, supporting the Climat Control, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of general ledger processes. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work on complex accounting topics, lead financial closings, and contribute to continuous process improvements. You will be involved in audit preparation, tax and statutory reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Controlling. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals who specialize in financial reporting, compliance, and process optimization, gaining valuable exposure to international accounting standards and best practices.
Work Environment:
Hybrid – a combination of on-site work in the Olkusz office and remote flexibility
Key Responsibilities:
Post and approve complex manual journal entries (MJEs), ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and proactively identify and address accounting risks.
Coordinate and execute timely and accurate month-end closing (MEC) activities.
Prepare and manage audit documentation, ensuring completeness and readiness for internal and external audits.
Ensure full compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and internal group policies.
Support the preparation of tax declarations (CIT & VAT) and statutory financial statements (SFS), including managing deadlines and resolving complex reconciliation issues.
Lead or contribute to financial projects focused on process optimization and automation within the GL function.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., AP, AR, Controlling) to ensure data consistency and process alignment.
Provide guidance and support to junior accountants, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Critical Competencies for Success:
Proven experience in general ledger accounting, including month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues independently.
Experience in driving or contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and support team development.
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Education & Experience: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA). Significant experience (typically 6+ years) in AP/AR or general accounting roles.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or audit support.

Salary Proposed:
9 000 - 11 000 PLN Gross
Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
