We are seeking a Senior General Accountant for a full-time, office-based role in Osoyoos, reporting to the Finance and Accounting Manager.

Position Overview

The Senior General Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and month-end support for a busy operational company. You will manage your own workload, work independently, and support established processes while helping improve them as our systems and technology continue to evolve. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable support
  • Invoicing and revenue tracking
  • Preparation of month end closing entries and working papers
  • GST and PST reporting and filings
  • Credit card and supplier statement reconciliations
  • Support for audit and period end requests
  • Maintaining accurate and organized financial records
  • Ad hoc accounting support as required

Requirements

Required

  • Formal accounting education or experience commensurate
  • Ten or more years of progressive experience in general or senior accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, analysis, and reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
  • Ability to work independently with recurring deadlines

Nice to Have

  • CPA designation or partial CPA studies
  • Experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite
  • Experience in mining, logistics, aviation, or other operations heavy environments
