🎯 What you’ll do
design, build, and improve core game systems
write and review production code
debug and fix complex live issues
set technical standards through example
You’ll own systems end to end: idea → implementation → QA → release → live ops. You’ll work daily with engineers, QA, product, and art - driving decisions through technical clarity.
This is a hands-on leadership role, not management.
🔑 What leadership means here
You lead by coding, pairing, reviewing, and fixing
People follow your decisions because they trust your judgment
You raise the bar without becoming a bottleneck
No headcount ownership. No delivery theater. Just real engineering leadership.
Deep hands-on engineering experience
Regular production coding
Ownership mindset for live systems
Comfort with complexity and ambiguity
Strong plus
Games / iGaming / interactive products
Performance-sensitive or real-time systems
JavaScript / TypeScript
Node.js
Game / frontend-heavy systems (Pixi.js / Phaser.js / Canvas / WebGL)
You don’t need to know everything on day one - you need to be able to go deep fast.
You want to move away from coding
You expect authority without hands-on work
You avoid production responsibility
You want to stay deeply technical, have real influence on how things are built, and ship games that run in production not slides.
