Senior Game Designer

Gameloft is looking for a Senior Game Designer to help shape the future of our games! As a Senior Game Designer, you’ll be a key leader on our development team, collaborating closely with the Lead Designer and Creative Director. You will drive the design vision for our current and future ambitious projects, owning the design of core gameplay mechanics, systems, levels, and player progression. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in creating innovative and immersive experiences for millions of players worldwide. From the beginning of your journey with us, you will:

  • Clearly communicate and advocate for the game's core pillars, ensuring alignment across all teams.
  • Proactively drive design initiatives, taking ownership of core systems and features to realize the game vision.
  • Design and iterate on engaging gameplay mechanics, systems, and features that deliver on the game vision.
  • Apply your expertise in premium, multi-platform game design, with a strong understanding of live service or early access models.
  • Collaborate closely with art, engineering, and production leads, providing clear and timely communication on design progress and challenges.
  • Provide insightful, constructive feedback on design documents and game builds, prioritizing issues for effective resolution.
  • Effectively communicate and advocate for design solutions to peers, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Generate innovative game concepts and features within defined constraints (time, IP, genre).
  • Develop compelling game and feature pitches for both new and existing IPs, presenting to a cross-functional team.
  • Prototype and implement gameplay features and systems using Unreal Engine tools (Blueprints, Sequencer, etc.) and our internal development pipeline.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level designers, fostering their growth and contributing to the overall team skill level.
  • 6+ years of professional game design experience, with a proven track record on successful multi-platform titles.
  • Extensive experience within a professional game studio, with demonstrated success shipping multiple titles (live service or premium experience preferred).
  • Experience developing for console, PC, VR, and mobile platforms is a plus.
  • Broad understanding of all aspects of game design (level design, systems, gameplay, 3Cs, etc.), with a demonstrated expertise in one or more areas.
  • Highly proactive and collaborative team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.
  • Passionate about games and a forward-thinking approach to design and technology.
